RIAA unites all publishers and controls all demand for artist's and performer's labor. Also it controls half of the supply (the rest of the supply comes to Napster-like peering networks). My utopical idea is to force at least 2 competing publishers competing for each music-CD or videogame. Also the performer's or developer's share must not be fixed salary but part of income of each of the publishers. This will force publishers to provide better prices and better support due to increased competition. Sadly this will never become a law due to strong RIAA lobby. [Manage messages]
